Charles Brownstein interviews Tom Hart

Charles Brownstein, comics journalist and Comic Book Legal Defense Fund Director, has agreed to create a series of interviews with Modern Tales/serializer/etc. cartoonists for the Modern Tales Family newsletter. Charles owns the rights to the interviews, so you might see these pop up, in longer form, elsewhere.

The first one, an interview with Tom Hart, about the transition he has made to webcomics, his feelings about how the minicomics scene and the webcomics scene compare, and his aesthetic agenda for serializer.net, the anthology website he edits for Modern Tales, is available for free here:

21st Century Fox joins The Nice

The Nice is proud to welcome it's newest member, 21st Century Fox.

Cartoonist Scott Kellogg has accepted his invitation and was welcomed by all. He is very glad and looks forwards to working with The Nice.

"If you take a look at all the work and love he's put into his own comic, the personality he put into his characters, the time and effort he's put into keeping everything going, and the Tiffarella sequence he did for Suburban Jungle, that's a pretty impressive resume. It would be a mistake to for us not have him as a member," said Terrence Marks, founder of The Nice
