Everyone has a webcomics link page but not everyone takes the time to write out why they're recommending the links. Number 12 has done so for a couple of years now and his webcomic recommendations page has well over 50 entries on it. Not only does it point out some great comics it gives some glimpses into the history of some short-lived webcomics like Superstar Car Wash and Road Waffles.

Astounding Space Thrills Gives Away Comic Book!


New print issues of the serialized webcomic, Astounding Space Thrills, will be distributed FREE to attendees at a number of conventions this year, starting with Megacon.

Scanning and Scaling for Webcomics


A lot of this thread on Talkaboutcomics is really aimed at creating a comic for publication on dead trees (like books and newspapers) but there's lots of handy details on scanning and scaling with programs such as Photoshop and Quark.

Talk About Comics, the free forum for webcartoonists and small press comics creators, now has an IRC channel. Joey Manley, (Modern Tales,Talk About Comics), has set up the channel on Nightstar and can be accessed through any standard IRC client. A java-enabled interface has been set up too.
