Washington DC Area Webtoonists Group

Just wanted to post a quick note: T Campbell is starting a group for local to Washington DC area webtoonist types to meet in real time/space. If you're interesting in joining or helping shoot him an email (I think it's pretty much anything at tcampbell.net will get to T).

A preliminary idea is to get together for an organizational thing sometime around SPXPo - (Oct 1-3). I am going to try and help if I can, although I suspect T could use folks with more time than I have. It seems to me that grabbing coffee or beer once a month - maybe just drawing sometimes, other times getting some local celeb like Frank Cho to say hi, that this could be a cool thing.

As a general matter, I would offer a "home" on Comixpedia to anyone wanting to start a "local" group across the world - just shoot me an email and we can talk.

Wizard People, Dear Reader by Brad Neely (NOT Harry Potter)

Wizard People, Dear Reader by Brad Neely (NOT Harry Potter) is a funny re-imaging of the first Harry Potter film through the creation of an alternate sound track. This is kind of like pairing Dark Side of the Moon with the the Wizard of Oz. Um, ok not so much "like" as the only other example I could think of that is remotely similar.

Genre City Completes Prologue; Chapter One to Begin...

Graphic smash one year old, celebrates with more series

From T Campbell's Science fiction blog:

Graphic Smash is one year old today! To celebrate, we've introduced Little White Knight as of Monday, and Super Real as of today. One is a storybook tale of forbidden love and disguise in 1081 Spain, the other a cynical narrative about a Real-World-esque show in a world that's beyond real.

Also new today: the return of Aces High with new artist John Holtgrew. If you've been skipping this one up till now, check it out-- the Marvelous Patric's taken some bold storytelling risks with the setup, and we're about to see the payoff.

It also seems like John Troutman's Felicity is back, with Meaghan Quinn behind the pencil this time.

Just Introducing Myself...

Hi, I'm new to this forum. It's really hard to believe how chock full of information this site has to offer, so I'm sure I'll be stopping by on a regular basis. I draw an online comic and just launched a new website for it. Take a gander if you have the time and I look forward to joining in on the discussions here.
