PHP-Nuke 7.x and Webcomics

Hey everyone...I'm new here, and was looking for a useful addon (ie Module) for PHPNuke (I use 7.4) for my website.

I'm going top have several comics displayed on my site, and I was hoping someone could help me find a good addon that would allow several different types as well as giving them each a seperate archive system. I saw the PHPNuke Comics 5 download on this site, however, the link is broken and I'm unable to check it out.

Any help at ALL would be great.

Pet peeve about webcomics hype

Well, here's my pet peeve-- I see an advertisement for a webcomic, and it's all in color. Then I go to the webcomic, and it's in black and white.

Generally when this happens, I don't want to see any more, because I feel the artist/publisher has violated my trust.

Moral: If you have a black and white webcomic, advertise it with black and white artwork.

There are very few webcomics fans left

Would it be a fair assessment to say that there are more webcomics creators out there than there are fans that do not have a comic? It's perfectly understandable that people that started thier own comics were fans that decided that they could become part of the genre. It seems that comics message boards are filled with creators , many of whom want traffic to thier sites. I think that webcomics have gotten to the point that the only people that read the comics are other creators.

Neglected but Recommended Webcomics

What webcomics would you recommend which you think is relatively unknown---and is NOT your own---but which you think are very, very, very good?

I personally would recommend LOTTE VS. THE DEAD at http://www.wirepop.com/comic_index.php?id=15, one of the Wirepop pay-per-view comics....but this one gives you at least twenty pages gratis.

It's about a both chick who just happens to be the daughter of Mr. Perfect---a semi-Superman who runs a Justice League-like organization of easily recognizable takeoffs of other superheroes. Sort of like Infinity INc., except the daughter really, really, REALLY doesn't want to go into the family business---she'd rather ride her bike, smoke, play in a rock band. Her father keeps on calling her "Hypergirl". When she confronts the super-heroines of the organization---who yes, admit they have breast implants---and shows them for the frauds they are---well...

Green: Wicke Wicked Ways print page

Ok, I got the urge to see what my stuff would look like I were to ever format it for print. It is a very good bet, though, that Green: Wicked Wicked Ways will never see print just because it is not designed for the printed page. It is designed for the computer screen and for use in Flash and print just does not do the pacing justice. Anyway here is the "first page" of episode 4 that I am working on now. Lemme know what you think. Of course some sound fx are not in and niether is the dialoge.

The more I look at this page formatted for print the more I am starting to dig it so who knows Green could be printed one day. To solve some pacing issues that the music and flash fix on the internet, I would have to add some new panels and such, but who knows it could be done. Not any time soon though that is for sure.

On Demand Comics Printing by Lulu

Lulu.com, the on-demand publishing tool for books, e-books, and other digital content, has expanded its offerings to include a "comic book" size print option.

Just reached 50 comics...

Okay...we've been officially around since mid June and have just reached number 50, which seems a pretty good number to get to early on. We haven't actually sought any criticism over here just yet, but I figure now's probably better than most. If you like it, tell us. If there's things wrong, tell us too.

It's about eleven year old kids in a country Australian school with a cemetery next door. No anime, no talking animals, no furries and no inappropriate language...yeah, I know...what's it got going for it? Hopefully you'll find something. Ta.

Eagle Awards 2004

Hell if I'd ever heard of the Eagles before. But Scott Kurtz got nominated for an Eagle for Favorite Web-based Comic. It's based on popularity so it's pretty safe to assume that PVP will trash the other two comics--which I'll admit I hadn't heard of prior to this. Actually I'm not shocked I haven't heard much about the other two - Marc Hempell's Naked Brain is part of Sunday Funnies so at least Google knows where to find it but search for "Mike Snart" or "Mike Snart comic" and you basically get stories about it being nominated for an Eagle. Anyone got an actual URL to an actual webcomic called Mike Snart?

Other categories of interest here are Favourite Comics E-Zine with nominations for Newsarama, The Pulse and Sequential Tart and Favourite Comics-Related Website with nominations for Comic Book Resources, Comicon.com and Silver Bullet.
