butternutsquash: I can no longer resist

Am I the last one to discover the charms of butternutsquash? I had resisted the pretty picture art for awhile although vaguely aware of its existence. I shouldn't have. It's pretty funny. Sometimes really damn funny. There's a halloween-themed strip involving Chewbacca that may be one of my all-time favorites.

The archives aren't that long - do yourself a favor and get some funny.

Call for Questions for Bill Holbrook

For this month's community interview, syndicated cartoonist Bill Holbrook has agreed to sit in the Comixpedia interview chair. For years now, Holbrook has used funny animals to explore the dynamics of a mixed marriage and an extended family, in his delightful Kevin and Kell, about the marriage between a carnivorous wife and a herbiverous rabbit-husband.

Please post your questions to Bill in replies to this thread (one question per post please). We'll take questions through September 17th and send the top ten questions to Bill.

Two Muppets named top scientists

When I read this I had a huh? moment. Clearly this story explains the sorry state of British science today.

Not a ton of non-Comixpedia webcomic related news today. Or it could just be me trying to recover from a three day weekend.

newer than the other new people

Okay, I'm going to introduce myself.

I'm Birdie and I "draw" the comic http://superfightfight.keenspace.com And I've been doing so for over a year, I post in the keenspace boards, but I'm looking to expand my readership and learn more about other webcartoonists so I'm here. I probably won't post as much because I try to post only when I feel I can really contribute to the topic, but I will do my best to be involved and plug my comic and my radioshow (which you can hear on the internet, and it relates to my comic as well)http://www.radiofightfight.tk

Thank you.

Penny Arcade Animated?....sorta

I haven't heard much online about the Cardboard Tube Samurai animated short they had at PAX... I was wondering if anyone gotta hold of the bootleg copies I've seen floating around.

I just wanted to hear what everyone thought. Most comments I've come across online have been short, but positive... can anyone add to "it was great" or maybe a brief review?

Kurtz Cover at Comixpedia

Anyone else think the recent LARP/Civil War Reenactors/Star Trekkers storyline in PVP was one of Kurtz's best? And all wrapped up with a great pun.

Anyhow Kurtz has also just announced a promotional team-up with the video game City of Heroes which sounds like a great gig for him. More details at PVP.

Last but not least - I'm pleased at punch that Kurtz did the cover for the Comixpedia September issue. I love the look of his Wedlock comics and it's great to see another installment.
