First Ever Nigerian Comic Convention!

Africa's most populous nation is set to host the continent's first Comicbook Convention. A gathering of Nigerian comicbook fans, rumored to be enormous in number, will throng the National Museum on the 10th-12th of September 2004 for a 'Comicbook Carnival' which will feature some international publishers, including famed webcomic publisher Komikwerks, represented by their Special Features Editor, Abdulkareem Baba Aminu, who is also a popular Nigerian journalist and comicbook artist/writer. Among the Nigerian publishers, will be the creator of wildly popular 'Ikebe Super', legendary Nigerian artist Obe Ess of 'The Guardian' fame, and others.
