Truth, Justin and the American Way a


Earlier this week, Scott Kurtz announced Truth, Justin and the American Way a five issues mini serie to be published by Image Comics. The series is written by Kurtz and Nodwick creator Aaron Williams and illustrated by Giuseppe Ferrario. More info at PvPonline.

Versus Guest Artist Week


These webcomic kids today, they just love drawing other people's comics for them. They can't make their own updates, but they seem to make time to make other people's. Well heck, if they wanna do my work for me for a week, that's fine by me.

Ctrl+Alt+Del Announces Animated Series


Blind Ferret Entertainment announced a deal to develop and distribute an animated series based on the popular gaming webcomic Ctrl+Alt+Del by Tim Buckley.

Ctrl+Alt+Del: The Animated Series will be available online at cad-animation.com. A trailer for Episode 1, scheduled for release next February 1, 2006, is already available at the site. The series will release a new four-minute episode every month.

Third-party news posting


Etiquette question: Is it good or bad manners to submit news about someone else's site or comic? I've seen things worth posting about, but I don't know how the creators would feel finding someone else posting their news for them. I've fretted over this since the Chex - Melonpool incident.

Full Story: An Index of Completed Webcomics Launches Today


Alexander Danner announced today the launch of Full Story, an index of completed webcomics.

The internet is, in many ways, a cult of the new. An exciting new idea can propagate through blogs, and forums, and e-mail seemingly instantaneously, such that it appears everywhere almost at once. And just as quickly, yesterday’s idea is replaced with today’s. The old idea may never be spoken of again, unless it can somehow be made new again. This is just as true of interesting webcomics as it is of anything else.
