My webcomics

First time, long time...

I'm a comic writer and I Just wanted to introduce myself and point you to my webcomic work:

Kobuta: http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/p/2493/Kobuta

Eleggua: http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/p/2495/ELEGGUA

These next ones are a bit older with more traditional layouts (before I started to play with the concept of WEBcomics and what that really means in terms of layouts.)

Jenny Everywhere in "Soulless Mate" : http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/p/2548/Jenny_Everywhere_in_Soulless_Mate

Yirmumah Mocks Terri Schiavo Case + New Yirmumah Book Available

I have no idea what side of the issue DJ Coffman is taking with today's Yirmumah installment but Feedy the Angry Feeding Tube is morbidly funny for some reason.

Also Coffman has a new book out - Yirmumah Strips #1 is available to the public at Comixpress. More on the book after the break.

Eric Burns' Gossamer Commons

Xerexes here. There's been a lot of interesting and talented people I've gotten to meet via this labor of love called Comixpedia. None more talented at turning a phrase then Eric Burns.

Gossamer Commons, the webcomic Burns has been talking about at his blog, Websnark, has its first installment up today. Burns does the writing and Greg Holkan handles the art.

First impressions? A nice, clean approach to the art and lots of subtle scenario-setting in the dialogue with a few solid bits of funny. The apparent central character is a writer. Surprisingly, that's not a common occupation in webcomics, but one that I think will be interesting to explore. This central character also has a mother not unlike my own and boy is today's phone call dialogue pitch-perfect. For a debut episode, GC does about everything you'd want to get things going.

And uh, I have no biscuits on me - how about a junior mint? Burns and Holkan each get a sugary, minty junior mint. (How's that for a semi-snark?)

"Wotch" Out for Accidental Centaurs

Starting today, for three weeks The Accidental Centaurs and The Wotch will team up for a cross-over story arc. The strips will be posted on alternate sites with new strips on The Wotch on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and on Accidental Centaurs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

March Issue Week 3 Online

Issue 26 of Comixpedia wraps up with comics, reviews and an interview. First off the debut of a new ongoing webcomic at Comixpedia from Kristofer Straub titled Modern Humor Authority and of course the third installment of Ping Teo's The Essence Of.... We have short reviews of two webcomics this month - Man-Man and Sarah Zero. Finally we have an interview with Graveyard Greg of Gaming Guardian.

Next month will focus on women in webcomics with a cover from Faith Erin Hicks.

Two Reviews in One: Man-Man and Sarah Zero

It's short attention span review theater this week with two short reviews - Justin tackles Man Man by Matt Shepherd and James Duncan and George tackles Sarah Zero by Ace Plughead.

It's a Man's Man's Man's World

Man-Man, created by James Duncan and Matthew Shepard is a…different kind of superhero webcomic. It is a parody of the typical superhero genre, and of itself as well. Man-Man does not take itself seriously, which is one of its greatest strengths.
