Daily Grind Contest Gets Slashdotted

Slashdot noticed the Daily Grind contest for webcomics yesterday. Checkerboard Nightmare also commented on this contest yesterday.

I think it's an interesting idea and a clever means to some welcome publicity for several new creators (as well as the veterans) but given that Chris Crosby has posted a new installment of Superosity everyday (not just Monday through Friday) for six years running this is going to be a marathon of a contest. I sure hope Comixpedia is still around to publish the name of the winner when the contest ends.

Court Finds School Censorship of Off-Campus Webcomic Unconstitutional

Digital Strips has the story on a court ruling that a school could not suspend students for the publication of a webcomic on their website.

Daily Grind Pool

Call me cynical but I think the Daily Grind contest will go on and on and on and one of the veterans will win. From the list of the entrants (thanks to Websnark for the list!) I've picked the 8 veterans I think have the longest and most consistent updating record. Do you think one of these guys will win or one of the other entrants and if so which young upstart are you putting your money on?
