If you'd like to do something nice for Comixpedia we could use help spreading the word about this site. Any kind of mention is appreciated but if you'd like to use an image I've set up a gallery of existing Comixpedia banners and buttons here. Feel free to use any and all on your websites or on a poster or whatever!

You'll notice that our banners and buttons are a bit out of date in terms of the logo though. For the month of September - help us out by making a 468 x60 banner for Comixpedia (feel free to incorporate the current logo) and I'll spot you free banner impressions at Comixpedia (at least 7500). Legal Stuff - by sending me (email it to xerexes at comixpedia dot com) and accepting the impressions you give us the rights to use the banner to promote Comixpedia.

Also - if you're scanning the existing gallery of banners and you can tell me who made some of the previously submitted banners please do - I can't recall all of the creators right now.

Also, I'm still accepting creator photos and publisher/collective/studio logos for use in stories on Comixpedia. Â

Recently, Lore Sjöberg wrote a hilarious piece for Wired titled "The Ultimate Blog Post" which features cutting parodies of popular blogs via describing the "ultimate perfect blog entry" for each one.

Comixpedia was not part of Lore's piece but I'll take your suggestions for our "ultimate perfect blog entry"...

Good news for Jim Zubkavich fans - the beloved webcomic The Makeshift Miracle is now free to read - no subscription, no micropayments. I encourage those who missed this comic to go check it out - it's a heartfelt yet quirky tale - check out its encyclopedia entry for more details.

Recently, we noted that Udon was set to put out TMM in book format. It's happening. And if you want a copy you can pre-order now through comic book retailers or directly from Jim Zubkavich at his website. If you do pre-order, do it through the website - Jim mentioned to me that if he has at least 350 pre-orders of the book through the website then he doesn't have to worry about the comic book store order numbers.

Call it horror or call it SciFi, E.C. Nickel's The Long Vigil is fast approaching its end now with only one more page to go. That will be rearing its rather gruesome head next Monday but you can prepare for it in advance by reading the penultimate instalment at Broken Voice Comics now!
