Zortic hits 1000!!!

Creator of Zortic.Others have done it first, and others will continue to do it, but there’s still something magic about hitting those 4 digit numbers. Today Zortic presents its 1000th official comic! It’s been a long, hectic ride that’s been a ton of fun.

Technically there are a lot more than 1000 comics available. In addition to the 1000 continuing storyline strips there are “director’s cut” added comics, an entire hidden alternate storyline, and a stand-alone introductory storyline for KeenPrime subscribers (now also available in book form from Indy Planet).

So if you haven’t started reading yet, there’s a lot to catch up on. So help celebrate by stopping by and enjoying Zortic now!

Hi!

Hi! This is my first post here.

I guess I just want to announce my comic! It's not as cool as some of the other great work I've seen, but I'm enjoying making it and I'll get better as I go. Come by and visit me sometime :)Â

Rob and Elliot Uncensored and On Stage!

Hey check it out - Hampton Yount of Rob and Elliot is doing some standup comedy this Thursday (9/21) at Wiseacres in Mclean, Virginia. The price of admission is ten dollars and it starts at 9 PM. I'd go but it's way after my kids' bedtime and when they're cranky they tend to heckle entertainers mercilessly (it's a gift!).

Diva Lea Update

I just wanted to post a short update on Lea Hernandez who lost everything in a housefire - thankfully her family was safe. She's back online and it looks like humanity (especially the comic-creatin' Texas variety) gets some good karma this week for helping out the Diva Lea in a time of need. Check out the Cape Day 2.5 Benefit for the Hernandezes.

I haven't heard otherwise so I believe you can still help out by

  1. donating through paypal (details at Websnark)
  2. buying an original Narbonic strips for $25 each (half the usual price) which creator Shaenon Garrity will donate to Lea Hernandez. (You can email Garrity at narbonic@sbcglobal.net to let her know which strip you want.)

Talk Like A Pirate Day!!!

Please help us make the Talk Like A Pirate Day entry at comixpedia.org a bit more webcomic specific. If you're celebrating it this year - add your webcomic to the entry.Â

September 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, you scurvy dogs!!!

Hi!!!

This is not my first topic here, but here it goes:

My name is Eve Z. I'm new to the web comic artists world. :) I guess it's a world too, or many worlds - everybody has got one. Nevermind this! Glad to find you guys! Tongue out

Scarybug celebrates TLAPD

Today is Talk Like A Pirate Day!. In honor of that, this September be SPACE PIRATE MONTH over at Nerdcore: The Core Wars. I mean, apparently. Ye may want to reflect on the meaning of TLAPD by reading me old comic, Pirate Jesus. It still holds up well, says I. And those scurvy dogs on myspace still be trying to hotlink that picture of Pimp Jesus.

UK Webcomic Thing On Again for 2007

That was quick - after a post on Comixpedia this weekend noting the cancelation of this year's UK Webcomic Thing, the organizer has reconsidered and the London-based event is now on track for March 17, 2007.

Ahoy, Me Mateys!

Avast ye scurvy dogs! Just to get the blatant plug out of the way, I have launched my new comic A Pirate's Life For ME! today, in celebration of International Talk Like A Pirate Day.

Now that the gratuitous plug is in, I'm wondering how people are celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day today. Drinking rum? Hoisting mizzenmasts? Defeating ninjas?
