My name's Peter, and I'm excited to make a foray into the webcomic world. This is sort of one of those "I want to make a post to try out this blog thing, but I'm sure I'll regret whatever I put here because you know how first impressions are" kind of posts, so I'll try to keep it under control.
The Trial of Colonel Sweeto, the first print collection of The Perry Bible Fellowship is selling well. Publisher Dark Horse has had previous successes with webcomics in print, including Fred Gallagher's Megatokyo (now on CMX) and Penny Arcade by Tycho and Gabe.
Publisher's Weekly has a story on Jim Massey, the writer of the Oni Press comic Maintenance (and webcomic creator), which was recently optioned by Warner Bros. for a feature film.
Phew! A lot of new characters have been introduced since the online graphic novel Shades first started its run at BVC - a retired tailor, a WW2 fighter pilot, the warrior queen Boudicca and a prehistoric Shaman. Not to mention the three teenagers who've just arrived on the scene. Of course if they all appeared at the same time, you'd never be able to keep track of them, right?
Oh, you think you could? Well, as it happens, that's just as well because in today's instalment the whole motley crew is finally brought together. Don't worry - they've promised not to all speak at once!
