Schlock Mercenary: 1, Starslip Crisis: 0

Round 1 of the Starslip Crisis crossover Alterverse War is heating up, with the Steel Duck from Melonpool taken captive even as the Touch-And-Go from Schlock Mercenary pummels the museum ship Fuseli after a devastating plasma salvo. With its primary starslip arch destroyed, will the Fuseli be able to defeat a ship whose shields can withstand a star going nova?!

The Alterverse War is a crossover event involving more than thirty sci-fi webcomics. Even though I'm writing it, I'm using fanboy logic and stats provided by the participating webcartoonists to make the fights as fair (if there is such a thing) as possible. With all the other high-powered entrants in the game, Starslip Crisis may not (probably won't) come out on top!

Check it out every Saturday at Starslip Crisis!

Three Volumes of COTC on WOWIO

Clan of the Cats - Year One Volumes one, two and three are now up on WOWIO.  Yes, most of this is basically the COTC CD. So, if you wanted to get that, but couldn't these three volumes encompass 75% of it.  The only major element of the CD I have not included is the tutorial in which I share some of my coloring techniques.  That will be in a fourth volume coming soon.  Again, here they are.

Premier of film based on webcomic creator

Cartoonist Jesse Reklaw, creator of the online strip Slow Wave, is playing himself as a central character in new film premiering this month. Compound Eye, directed and produced by Yahn Soon for John Balquist Productions, tells the fictional story of how the controversy over one strip affects him and his roommate's lives.

The first screenings of Compound Eye will be on Sunday October 7th and Saturday October 13th at the Mill Valley Film Festival:
