 King Tractor Press is proud to announce that Tony De Zuniga's wonderful art will be gracing the special edition of Innocent Volume 1 in next month's Diamond Previews NOV073695.   Tony has worked on such classic books as X-Men, Conan, Thor, Incredible Hulk, and Spider-Man.

Tom Spurgeon has an interview with Joey Manley (and a brief appearance by Josh Roberts) on the new ComicSpace company.  There's a bit more details on the expectation of when they will roll out the new "ComicSpace" site (3-5 months) and a bit more on the investor group that is putting money into the new business structure.

Virgin Whines


I have periodically been getting requests to join Virgin Wines (a wine delivery 'club' here in the UK) in my inbox, each with an offer more generous than the last (first case half price, and comes with a free corkscrew made of diamonds that can predict the future!) and usually they just get deleted automatically. Earlier this week however, I got an email titled 'reasons not to join' which piqued my interest just enough to get me to open it and see just what they were up to. And so it was that I got a chance to read the email's opening pitch:

  • Joey Manley writes that as an experiment for the month of November, you can now buy via Project Wonderful the top banner spot for all of the major user-generated content sites on the new ComicSpace Network (TalkAboutComics.com, OnlineComics.net, the WebcomicsNation.com, and ComicSpace.com). It looks like Eric Milikin (Fetus X) had the spot this morning for about $45 per day (Project Wonderful works on a real time auction basis).
