New Comic - Telling Tall Tales

Just wanted to stop by and post a link to my new webcomic.

http://www.tellingtalltales.net - A Not-So-Graphic Photographic Graphic Novel.

We've got 29 strips up, and we upload MWF. Hope to see you there!

Word To Your Mother

Hey hey hey. Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I'm a long time reader, but now I've got a webcomic to pimp, and I thought I'd introduce myself in the Haus first.

All my Portlanders stand up and make some NOISE!

Give Them a Sporting Chance

"Who is this clown?" you may ask. Pete's the name. Long time reader, first time blogger. Let's get this show on the road.

This is a topic that's been brewing in my head for a long time now and I need to get it out. In short, I'm tired of the constant spewing of vitriol concerning the number of bad webcomics out there.

"You'll Have That" One-Shot

Hey, everybody! This summer, Viper and I are publishing a 32-page one-shot for my comic strip, You'll Have That. But I need your help! Check out this article at Wizard Universe for all the details!

New Comixpedia Bloggers - UPDATED

NEW NEWS&VIEWS WRITERS

I'd like to announce the list of new front page writers for Comixpedia's daily news&views updates. I'll have a more formal post up soon, but I ought to announce them now so they can get started posting:

There's still one invitation out there so we might have one more name to announce. Plus there's still myself and long-time front page writer Giant Panda.

ADVERTS

I'm switching the top of the site to Project Wonderful ads (the smaller PW ads on the right side will be phased out). Because of the layout I had to go with two separate ad boxes so - just heads-up - the price may be different on the left versus the right ad. On second thought, I realized how much worse I'd made the site this morning with my changes so I've flipped things back and while this design is still live (likely for awhile at least) we'll go with one ad box up top with three ads. I'm still unclear on what the best Project Wonderful format is - so I'm curious as to how this will work out for folks. My apologies for deleting all of the bids that went in today.

SITE DESIGN

Along with working on a new version of the site (to take advantage of the lastest version of the Drupal code the site runs on) plans are afoot for a new design for the site. In the short term before that debuts I'll do my best to keep things around here from breaking too much.

Women in Comics: Templar, Arizona

I went to Wonder-Con this past weekend, and overall had a pretty good time -- a lot of interesting folks, intriguing conversations, and comic discussion panels, some better than others. One of the less-than-stellar panels was Girls Kick Ass! Female Protagonists in Print and Beyond. But instead of complaining about it here -- at least for the moment -- I'm going to spend the week telling you about some of my favorite female webcomic protagonists who do, indeed, kick ass.

First up: Reagan, from Templar, Arizona.
