Danielle Corsetto creates the damn funny Girls With Slingshots comic and she recently posted her plan to go to 5 a week updates for GWS.

She's taking June off (b/c of vacation and other obligations) to get ahead - in the meantime, she says if GWS readers:

raise enough to pay my bills for the rest of the year, I'll spend July-December 2007 writing & drawing GWS 5 times a week (with color Sundays if I can swing it!) and working on tee shirts, stuffed McPedros & other merchandise, a cleaner website with a better archive system, an RSS feed, a small forum, and FINALLY, a collected print version of the strips.

The official donation drive will begin next Monday. GWS will return July 1st.

This week in Smithson: Gemma has problems hiding her feelings, particularly when it comes to the subject of Selena.

Okay, we've been promising to launch this vampire-themed title since February and for one reason or another (well, one reason - real life kind of got in our way!) it's become very delayed. Sorry about that.

The good news is that - whilst we still don't have quite as many completed pages in our "buffer" as we'd like, we're going to start serialising what we do have at the Broken Voice Comics website next week. Yes really!

This may mean that we run out of pages at some stage down the line, in which case the story will have to go on hiatus for a few weeks while we play catch-up. It'll be a bit like one of those US TV series like Lost or Heroes which seem to enjoy taking a break mid-season these days!

Anyway, watch this space for further news of this title. We'll be announcing a firm launch date just as soon as we can iron out one or two final details. We do know it will be next week, though, so stay tuned!
