Go get your free comic books! I stopped by the Big Planet store in Georgetown which was not only a nice store but was letting folks pick up 10 of the free comic books each. That seems awfully generous compared to other stores I've checked out in past years.

It's also Online Comics Day or as I still think of it -- Webcomics Awareness Day. Either way go check it out!

Just for kicks, we at Metrophor are running a little guest comic contest for our fellow webcomickers. The prize for this contest will be a month of free advertising on our site and a hard copy sketch from the artist. Metrophor is a small webcomic, but with a fair following. We average about 400-500 unique visits a day.
