Artist Edition Review

As the Artist Editions of Evil Inc Annual Report Vol. 3 hits readers' doorsteps, I've been getting some very kind commentary. Joshua Jericho, whose sketch appears to the right, has posted one such review. Beyond his remarks about the sketch, he also has some nice things to say about the book itself!

Webcomic Wire - 5/5/08

Drawn from sources inspired by the Maker’s Faire… A womping 10 years of PVP! Congratulations Scott! Tim Broderick replies to Chris Wright’s guest column on Fleen. Webcomics collective Transplant Comics seems to be recovering well from surgery. Red String celebrates 5 years. Congratulations Gina! 5 years of Station 3V. Congratulations Tom! Free Comic Book Day Madness

I feel like I should open my report on Free Comic Book Day with the theme from 2001: A Space Oddessey ("Daaaa naaaaa naaaaaaaaa na na!") ... and this picture.

HOLY RUSTED METAL, BATMAN.

Anyway, I think now, two days later, I am finally recovered. It wasn't really the crowd that was a problem: I, foolish mortal that I am, made the same mistake I made when I went to My Very First Convention last year. I forgot to eat.

Emerald City Comic Con: This weekend!

EMERALD CITY COMIC CON IS THIS WEEKEND! I've been waiting to say that ever since ECCC 07 closed! In case you missed my previous post on the subject, here's the low-down once again: It just doesn't get better than the Emerald City Comic Convention. If you're anywhere near Seattle on May 10-11, it's a Must-Be event. If you're not, you should be making plans to get there. It's not only the impressive guest list and the cool exhibitors Jim Demonakos and his crew put together. It's not only the fact that this is a comic-book fan's comic-book convention. This convention stands...

Universcale

I've been ridiculously too busy to blog lately, largely due to my upcoming exam/project on biopsychology. Once that's over it's summertime! (i.e. time for me to work on projects otherwise not given enough attention while in classes). In the meantime... Here's an interesting site that attempts to show the relative sizes of things in the universe. I like how its using digital tools to get at
