So, this has been driving me nertz lately; at the office, we have a stash of Cup Noodle handy for those of us (hands!) who forget to bring lunch or can't get out of the office, whatever. It's our stash of Cup Noodle. The thing is, I could SWEAR that when I was a kid, "Cup Noodle" was called "Cup O' Noodles." Am I totally messed up here?

Hurm News: Thinking of You

Even though there's no Playtime Projects comic today, I want you to know that I'm still thinking of you. And to show how much, I've even set up some things you can wear or leave lying around the house. You can check out the Thinking of You design over at http://www.cafepress.com/pp001. (I'll have it in the official Hurm Store in a few days.)

Awesome drawing fun! Plus: who puts fat spaghetti in their hat?

[also posted on shep.ca] bomomo IS FUN. Firefox only, I think. I have spent my entire lunch break drawin’ stuff. I’ve been coming into the office early to work my way through Foundation Flash for Designers with one of our ADs here, and picking away redoing exercises at lunch. The idea is he’s the graphics guy, [...]

Almost September Launches

http://www.drunkduck.com/Forever_September/

A small group of guardian angels face the difficult task of protecting students of a local high school from their classmates, outsiders, and the dark seeds of their own self destructive tendencies.

Is that drawn with a sharpie and photocopied? No, It's all digital.

Designed to look like a "throwaway" manga, Almost September tells the story of Revolver and Creed before they met any othe the other characters.

Sketchdump- Misunderstood Monsters and My Life in Records Cover Designs

I haven't posted a sketch in while, so I'm dumping out my sketchbook on you all.

This is a little sketch I did a few moths ago as I was developing ideas for a "Misunderstood Monsters" comic.

JUSTIFY MY DEAD TREE HYPE

This looks cool - Mitch Clem is doing some comics for a print series:

I have about fifty more of these fully inked. It's a new series I've been working on called "Something Great", which will be my first foray into creating a direct-to-print comic strip series (as opposed to a webcomic, which I already have too many of). Five per issue have been running in Razorcake, so you'll see those too once new issues come out, as usual. Otherwise, patience is your best hope for ridiculousness.

PODCASTANETS

Chris Williams listens to comics podcasts so you don't have to... unless you really want to!

Monster: TRANSLATE FASTER!!!1

I'd just like to point out that reading volumes 7 to 14 of Naoki Urasawa's Monster in one day is not the greatest thing for your sanity. I had some messed up dreams last night, yo. But it's so good, although I wish the pages came with some sort of lock that only allowed you to turn one at a time, since my impatient need to know what would happen next meant I flipped through a couple of later volumes, and spoiled one of the big twists. Moron.

MoCCA!

Heading off to MoCCA now. On Friday I'll be on a Comics and the Internet panel at the Cantor Film Center. Saturday and Sunday I'll be at the Friends of Lulu table at MoCCA and generally wandering around. Whee!
