Blogging in Comix Form


So far, Comixtalk has been an excellent forum and tool for me to put into words all the thinking surrounding Pear-Pear. As we continue to develop the website, I'll always be thankful for the resources and community here and at TCWL. But something was bugging me about the whole setup.

As you may know, I am a guy who harbors many enthusiasms (see my website for details), and recently one of those enthusiasms has been a profound fascination with the presence of foreign language songs in American culture - for such a culturally xenophobic and geographically isolated nation, our popular consciousness has in its banks a surprising number of, at the very least, clips from foreign language songs.

Your comic strip for the day. And we're half way through the whole thing. I like the descriptive sound effect. Wouldn't it be cool if that happened in real life? You ran around a corner and some Move Trailer Voice-esque guy would yell "TURN!" and "DASH!" and if you're me "TRIP, FALL ON FACE!"

... okay, maybe it'd get annoying after a while, but still.
