Jenny Has Six Brothers, Strip 04

Your comic strip for the day.

... man, San Diego's coming soon. I'm getting nervous ...

Jenny Has Six Brothers, Strip 04 + Michael Bay just hacked all the internets

A lot of my conversations, for some reason, seem to eventually wander over to the topic of How Much Transformers Sucked (it's a movie about robots blowing shit up. How do you mess that up?). This ultra-secret script leak of Michael Bay's version of The Dark Knight pinpoints quite accurately why he ruins Christmas every year. Why is it so funny? Because it's so damn plausible that that's exactly what he'd do with Batman. And it scares me. Hold me!

Inbound Reviewed

The first issue of the Boston Comics Roundtable’s anthology, Inbound got a good write-up over at BeaucoupKevin. Not exactly a positive review, but he offers some solid criticism, which is always good to see. On my own story (with Steve Harrison), he comments:

“…fairly standard indie comics stories - nothing bad, per se, but nothing that excited me, even if I really liked Steve Harrison’s art…”

Webcartoonist-turned-Videogame-Creator wins contest sponsored by Webcartoonists-turned-Expo-Runners

It was announced today that Chronotron is one of the winners of the PAX 10, a showcase of indie games that will take place at the Penny Arcade Expo this year.

Bumbling with ActionScript

So, the Pear-Pear team (my wife and I) have been working on an interactive archive menu. One that will be consistent with the spirit and design of the site. And if there's one thing this process has taught me, its to regret being a slacker when my dad tried to teach me BASIC in the 80s.

New Comicspace.com?

Joey Manley posts a screenshot of the new Comicspace.com at his blog talkaboutcomics.  It's very... yellow.

Thoughts?  Educated guesses?

Also T Campbell is selling the webcomics.com domain... not cheap! but maybe something someone can do something interesting with?

Elfquest Movie?

The Hollywood Reporter has a blurb that Elfquest by Wendy and Richard Pini may be heading to the big screen.  The deal is with Warners Brothers and has Rawson Thurber to write and direct the film.  Thurber's previous films includes the 2004 Ben Stiller comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
