Happy Birthday to me

corral  (n.): An enclosure for confining livestock.

My wife, my 16 month old son and I packed up and headed to the new Golden Corral for my birthday Saturday. Yeah, hardly an exciting way to celebrate, but when you’re married and you have a toddler, sometimes you just want to go somewhere with as little hassle as possible. Besides, all I really wanted for dinner was some chicken, potatoes and some corn, so the restaurant seemed like a good choice.

Martha & Dotty

If you're familiar with the Philly Fringe Fest (Aug. 29 - Sept. 13), you already know it's an "unfiltered" festival, where new and established artists of all kinds present their own work, free of a selection process. Most Philly Fringe artists live and work in Philadelphia. What you may not know is that I'm participating this year... indirectly. In other words, I'm on the fringe of the Fringe Fest. Writer/producer David Witz contacted me earlier this year to produce a cover illustration for their Fringe Fest entry, an old-time-radio-style drama that you'll be able to download in ten podcasts.

Why I love living in NYC

GEM and the Holographs is part of the 11th annual New York International Fringe Festival.

I never imagined I'd get to see Jem live! But I bet the Misfits' songs are better...

WorldCon 66: The Comics!

Let’s lead off with a picture, shall we?

WorldCon 66 Newsletter Comic 2

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I provided all of the Denvention newsletter comics. They’re all in this post after the “Read the rest of this entry” link…

I had a great time creating these. I think my favorite was probably the most self-serving of the bunch…
