Episode 33 of the Art & Story Alive podcast is now available for listening. A new UNcubed was posted this morning as well. This Friday at 10PM EST is a new episode of the Sequential Artists’ Pub.

AP. Furtado’s Elf `n Troll Ending

ELF `n TROLL Ending.

It is with some sadness that I have to announce, my webcomic ELF `n TROLL will be coming to an end, with the final page scheduled to be posted on October 23.

I won’t rule out a return to ELF `n TROLL at some point in time but, for now, this is where I’m at.

This is important.

Lots of apathy going around these days about the election--way too much for my tastes. It mostly comes from the comments sections on YouTube videos, blogs, and other lowbrow corners of the internet, but it makes me pretty heartsick nonetheless.

The other day I saw someone using an LJ userpic that showed three ballot boxes, which looked something like this:

☒ McCain/Palin
☒ Obama/Biden
✔ Don't Care

...with the Don't Care box checked.

Bailout Comics

Dr McNinja 3rd Anniversary

Will the economy crater as Washington fiddles?  Will Wall Street bigshots get their bonuses?  Will there be any banks left standing by the end of the year?

Man that's serious... after yelling at your representatives for letting things get so bad we're in this mess we all need a laugh.  Post some links to comics on the crisis de jour.

Baltimore Comic Con 2008

I'm back from the Baltimore Comic Con 2008 and man, what a trip. This was by far the largest comic book convention I had ever exhibited at. You can see the full set of photos I took in my BCC 2008 photo set on Flickr.com.

Teraport Wars Book Release Party

The book release party for The Teraport Wars will be held Friday October 10 from 4-8 pm at Dragon’s Keep in Provo (260 N Main Street.)  Howard will be happy to draw pictures in books and to visit with fans.  We’ll have food and prizes as well.  The official party will be over by 8 pm, but those who wish to linger later into the evening to play games are welcome to do so.

See you there!

No more Heroes.

I can't take Heroes any more. I watched twenty minutes of it last night and then switched it off to play Mariokart. I dutifully downloaded and watched the premier last week and watching it was a chore. Every "earth-shattering" plot twist made me groan. Every line of dialogue made me roll my eyes. I don't like cringing while watching a TV show. And I say this as someone who enjoys (still!) the heck out of Masters of the Universe. There is bad entertainment, and then there is baaaad entertainment.
