This year Monkey Day is sponsoring a charity silent art auction to benefit the Bushmeat Crisis Task Force (BCTF), a consortium of conservation organizations and scientists dedicated to the conservation of wildlife populations threatened by commercial hunting for sale as meat. More information on the BCTF can be found at bushmeat.org. The silent art auction will be held on Monkey Day, December 14th, at the Basement 414 gallery in Lansing, Michigan.

I think you're all beautiful people and everything, but I cannot believe that there is an internet meme about hastily taking a photo of yourself with your cameraphone and posting it to the web without extraneous comment. I kind of thought that was all that the internet was, in the first place.

I’m pretty late with the updates, just because I wanted to take some time off this weekend. Our 8th Sequential Artists’ Pub show focused on Print on Demand, handling interviews with the media (and how to score an interview with the media), the do’s and don’ts of setting up a webcomic website, followed by more top picks from our roundtable of cartoonists.
