I figure this is pretty important news, my friend and fellow Scienteer Poinko has ended his comic, Lancaster: The Ghost Dectective, after four years and 700+ updates, for the most part sticking to updating five times a week. I'd really like this to be mentioned as it's fairly impressive by any author's standards. There is also a write up by me on the event as well over at The Scienteers.
This was just brought to my attention from a friend. Apparently, there is some legislation concerning orphaned works. Naturally, one must take this with a grain of salt, as this seems very scary for creators everywhere.

Just a heads up to Comixtalk users, my webcomic at hpkomics.com is about to transition into Cosmic Dash, and to celebrate, I am holding a drawing contest with the winner recieving a 30 gig Microsoft Zune as well as some original penciled pages and a character designed around the winners specifications. The contest is pretty easy to get involved with and lasts until November 5th, so check the contest page for details.
Just thought that I would give a heads up that Galactic Hub Serreven is now updating again with full color pages every Saturday. If you're looking for a decent sci-fi comic that's pretty much just starting off, I hope you'll drop by my site.
I only stumbled onto Jorge Cham's Piled Higher and Deeper about a month and a half ago, but I've been hooked.
Just a heads up, four entries so far, if you've got an entry for me by Saturday, you could be one of the folks who qualifies for fan art.
I'm pleased with how it's going so far, hopefully Shmoofy will show up in other places.
