Lancaster: The Ghost Detective ends.


I figure this is pretty important news, my friend and fellow Scienteer Poinko has ended his comic, Lancaster: The Ghost Dectective, after four years and 700+ updates, for the most part sticking to updating five times a week. I'd really like this to be mentioned as it's fairly impressive by any author's standards. There is also a write up by me on the event as well over at The Scienteers.

Orphaned Works Legislation


This was just brought to my attention from a friend. Apparently, there is some legislation concerning orphaned works. Naturally, one must take this with a grain of salt, as this seems very scary for creators everywhere.

Just a heads up to Comixtalk users, my webcomic at hpkomics.com is about to transition into Cosmic Dash, and to celebrate, I am holding a drawing contest with the winner recieving a 30 gig Microsoft Zune as well as some original penciled pages and a character designed around the winners specifications. The contest is pretty easy to get involved with and lasts until November 5th, so check the contest page for details.

Studio Blu is now Studio BOO


It's (almost) that time of year again folks! It's quickly approaching October and Studio Blu is now STUDIO BOO. The site has had an entire skin-change with all the festive colors of Halloween as well as a new header.

Not only that, but October is going to feature something REALLY special.

A bunch of webcomic artists draw Pokemon.


A bunch of webcomic artists, mostly from Drunk Duck, have started a livejournal community devoted to drawing the first 151 Pokemon, and it's open for anyone who wishes to join in. Rules include giving yourself a Pokemon name, and putting extra effort when it comes to your favorite Pokemon.
