To those of you wondering about the MoCCA Art Fest's 2009 move to its new location, fear not: the 69th Regiment Armory is only a couple of blocks away from the Shake Shack. :)

Tonight:

Dave and I both have some work in this show, POP Euphoria, which is opening tonight at the Aurora Gallery in Worcester, MA! It's a gallery of 'toys, fairytales, icons, and ephemera' and proceeds benefit Toys for Tots. The show will be up until January 17. I wish we could be there to see it.

I made a private post about this too, but it bears repeating:

SMILE Guest Theatre: Brian Fies!

Bah, I've been so caught up in working on SMILE the book, that I forgot to mention I'm still putting up guest strips on the SMILE website!

Here's a great new guest strip from my friend Brian Fies, who always makes time for a friendly chat when we see each other at cons, and has been a good ally in discussing the twilight space between webcomics and their print cousins. Go read about his dental drama, why don't you?

The Comics Bakery has an Etsy shop! That's where you can find my hand-made Christmas card packs, and we should have a few other listings up soon.

I'm also starting to take orders for original pages for the holiday season, so email me if you're interested in something specific. goRaina AT yahoo DOT etc.

Yes we did.

I'm still trying to process how I feel.

We've lived through so many dark days and dark days-after in our lifetimes. I experienced the Loma Prieta earthquake in San Francisco; I watched stunned as war creeped into my lifetime on television as Kuwait was bombed; I was in New York City on September 11. I've experienced personal tragedies and listened, horrified, to stories of others'. Waking up on Day Two after a tragedy always comes with a sense of numbness, a secret wish that it was all a dream and everything has been reset to Normal.
