Jenny Romanchuk is the creator of The Zombie Hunters, a webcomic about a world filled with zombies and a team of outcasts who hunt them.  Romanchuk has actually gone beyond a simple premise to creating a full-fledged world here, spinning out rules for the zombies and the society of humans who remain.  It's a little gory at times but a great story. 

I got a chance to interview her this month and really, what other day woud be better to post this on then Halloween?

Phil Foglio,  along with Kaja Foglio, creates the wonderful steampunk-flavored science fantastical webcomic, Girl Genius.  Given all of the characters dressed up in alternate-Victorian clothes and wonderful steam-age gadgetry in the comic, it seemed extra appropriate to post this interview with Phil to the site today.

Earlier this month, I interviewed Chris Hallbeck who does the weirdly funny webcomic The Book Of Biff.  More recently, I found out that he was a finalist in this year's Bomb Shelter Webcomic Idol contest.  A bit of a fortuitous coincidence and reason enough to hustle this one onto the website.

Chris Hazelton is the creator of Misfile, a webcomic about, well, a celestial misfiling of epic proportions and the angelic clerk who tries to clean it all up.  It's a great premise and Hazelton has been spinning it out on the web for more than four years now.

Zap! is a science fiction webcomic hosted on Keenspot.  Written by Chris Layfield and drawn by Pascalle Lepas since 2003, the webcomic has continued to improve, particularly on the visual side.  (Don't despair the lengthy archives, there is a great overview of the storylines for new readers who want to quickly get up to speed).

Greg Poulos and John Chouinard are the creators of the new webcomic Chronillogical, a webcomic about time-traveling graduate students.  Greg handles the writing and John creates the art for the strip.  It's a relatively new webcomic, but already one I check in on a regular basis.  I got a chance to interview Greg and John via email this month.

J Thomas is the creator of Between Failures, a funny webcomic about life working in retail.  It's been running since 2007 and I think it's shown tremendous growth over that time, with big improvements in the artwork and just general "staging" of the composition of the comics.

I talked to Thomas via email this month about his webcomic.

The Phoenix Requiem is Sarah Ellerton's second webcomic.  Her first webcomic Inverloch was completed in 2007 and later published in print by Seven Seas.  She describes The Phoenix Requiem as "a Victorian-inspired supernatural fantasy story about faith, love, death, and the things we believe in."
